BIO

Andrew Peck earned his nickname “POWERHOUSE” because of his powerful kicks, and it’s a name he lives up to. Originally from Auckland, New Zealand he began Muay Thai at the age of 18 and has never looked back. He added Karate to his strengths at the age of 19, and typical of his commitment he moved to Japan to live and train. POWERHOUSE worked his way through the amateur ranks of kickboxing and karate until his impressive Pro debut when he won the K-1 New Zealand tournament by three first round knock outs, including knocking out Ron Sefo (Ray Sefo’s brother) in the finals.

In his next pro-event POWERHOUSE made it to the semi-finals only to be beaten by Mark Hunt (future K-1 world champion). He bounced back strongly by winning the W.K.B.F. South Pacific Super Heavyweight Kick Boxing Title in 2001. In 2002 he made his K-1 Japan Debut.

By 2004 he was the WMC New Zealand Super Heavy Weight title holder and decided to retire only to return to the K-1 circuit in 2006. Still living up to his nickname he won the KO World Series, Oceania title in 2007. He now trains in Thailand and Japan, where he is sponsered by Fairtex.
